Ways to arrange my bookshelf

My house is currently a huge mess we got this huge Tv set from my bro in the Uk and as good as it is it has caused havok in the sane space that i had taken months to put together since we down graded to a smaller house now i have to work with what i have and if need be think of getting additional storage in future.
We have alot of books and we need to organise em into one bookshelf we gave out our former desk to create space for the plasma now we need his and her storage also a place both of us can work.Here are some inspirational photos i have to spruce up my current sagging bookshelf creative storage that will make my bookshelf not look like a library.
