Baskets!

I mentioned baskets in the last blog and how they would be a good idea for my craft space.Today while i was browsing in the morning i came across many uses for baskets.It came to my realisation that i have 2 well knot baskets as gifts from our wedding.Traditionally your supposed to use them when you go to the farm or to the market but since we live in the city where less is more carrying them around isnt practical unless you have a car. Therefore instead of them gathering dust out in the corridor im going to put them into good use so im looking for ideas on how to make them work hard and stop idling in my balcony gathering dust.

In need of a crafts space!

As i settle into my new rental im in need of a creative space so im looking for every nook and cranny in my house in-order to get a work space so as to exercise further creativity in my house for now my partner`s got his desk in the layout now i need my stuff in action.So far iv identified a few areas that could suffice as my crafts spot i say spot coz im not planning to have a huge space im big on comfort and wont compromise major areas in the digz.Here goes;-
:-The entry way just after the bathroom a (30cm x 90cm) wall exists its adjacent to the kitchen door so i guess it will do for the time being as we are the two of us.
:-The balcony out side is very expansive im wondering if its possible to have my crafts spot outside the question is what about weather elements like the rain, dust etc, late nights security.
Basically these are the major areas im considering having my crafts spot in i really don't want to spoil the overall feel of the balcony but then again i could do with the space.
My inspiration lies amongst this things:-

Settling In

I must say im very proud of us we`ve managed to unpack, host visitors and settle within a week of our back to work routine.Im really loving my digz, if i could work from home id do it in a heart beat but since we are in a developing country where a few companies can take on that idea.
As a designer i always tend be either picky or very bad critic of spaces im not perfect but i also just cant tolerate some things.
Nways part one of my rental decorating bit was to curtains so as soon as iv put em up ama show you guys some pics.
